It is my pleasure to welcome you and your child to 6th grade! I am excited and thankful that God has given me the opportunity to continue my teaching journey and to continue to grow at such an outstanding school.

6th grade is an important year in the life of your child as it is a time of great transition. Throughout this year, we will be building on the academic, social, and faith skills your child learned in kindergarten through 5th grades while preparing him/her for the somewhat different expectations of middle school and high school. In addition to academic content, our emphasis will include organizational skills, self-discipline, good study habits, and accountability. Further, your child will grow spiritually in the context of Catholic Christian faith formation and will explore the relationship of faith to all academic subjects and all aspects of life. I specifically encourage students to explore the ways in which their faith ties them to others as we focus on teamwork and mutual responsibility in the classroom and in the greater world.
