Students at Our Lady of the Valley have the opportunity to play organized sports as early as preschool. As children grow, so too do their opportunities to participate in sports. By the time students graduate from OLV, they are prepared to transition to athletic programs at area public and private high schools with solid skills, an appreciation of teamwork and sportsmanship, and most importantly with a love of God and an appreciation for His many blessings. Many graduates of OLV continue to participate in sports in area high schools, with several winning team and individual honors, and still others continuing athletics in college.
Athletic programs are available through programs administered by OLV Church and School, as well through the Middle School Sports Program. The middle school sports program is sanctioned by the AHSAA, and directed by John Carroll on behalf of the participating member Catholic elementary schools. It is open to OLV 7th and 8th grade students, regardless of where they plan to attend high school.

- OLV Soccer – grades kindergarten-8 boys and girls
- OLV Basketball – grades 1-8 boys and girls
- OLV Volleyball – grades 3-8 girls
- OLV Track and Field – grades 5-8 selected boys and girls
- Cavalier Youth Football and Cheerleading program – grades 1-6 boys and girls
- Middle School Sports – grades 7 and 8 boys and girls (depending upon sport). Students must try-out for these sports.
More about the Middle School Sports Program – Students enrolled in OLV have the opportunity to try out for additional competitive sports in grades 7-8, as sanctioned by the AHSAA and administered by John Carroll on behalf of the participating Catholic elementary schools. The Middle School teams play against area private and public schools. OLV students may try-out for these teams regardless of where they are planning to attend high school.
