The Extended Care Program (ECP) is an extra service of Our Lady of the Valley School. It is provided to meet the needs of working parents. It is held in the Extension Care Room and is open to all OLV school students in grades K5-8. The program is totally self supporting and operating funds are acquired solely from income generated by the program. The ECP provides a safe environment for children of working parents. The children will be given a snack each afternoon and will also have time for outdoor and indoor recreation.

OLV Aftercare NOTES:
Aftercare is open daily from 3:20-6:00pm. Our staff includes our director, Nancy Murphy, with help from Bena Ardovino, Winnie Martinez and Shelia Garrett. We are so happy to see more of our students joining us this year.
We encourage the students that have homework to do their assignments as soon as they check in. That way when students get picked up, they can relax and enjoy some family time at home. We have a Homework Sign Up sheet that we post in the room for families who prefer that their child/children complete work at school rather than at home. Just let us know what you prefer.
We offer a snack & a juice box each day but if your child has a big appetite you may want to include something extra in their lunch box or backpack. If your child has any food allergies we would need to know that also.
If your child needs Aftercare before a sporting event or practice, please provide a written permission for us to walk your child to the Gym or the outside practice field. Also please include the coach’s name and inform the coach that your child will be coming from Aftercare. Only one permission per season is required.
There is an Aftercare Information sheet on-line that should be filled out by the parents and turned in to the office. Mrs. Lanzenby will make sure it gets to Aftercare. It includes things like parents’ names and current phone numbers, addresses, emergency contacts and allergies.
We look forward to seeing you & your family throughout this academic year. Please let us know if you have any questions.
