Beginning & Advanced
For more than 20 years, the OLV band has given students the opportunity to participate in concert band and learn instruments in the woodwind, brass and percussion families. Students in grades 5-8 may participate in band and no prior experience is necessary.
Students meet during the school day from 12:15-1:00 on Tuesday and Thursday. The fee for band is $250 per year. The band performs a Christmas and Spring Concert and is under the direction of Dr. Mark Foster who is excited to bring 30 years of experience teaching band to OLV. Dr. Foster is a National Board Certified Teacher, and he holds a doctorate in Music Education from the University of Alabama. His band programs have been recognized for their accomplishments throughout Alabama and the southeast.
